On the main card of UFC Vegas 12, two featherweights will clash as Bryce Mitchell will take on Andre Fili in a three-round fight that will take place this Saturday live from Las Vegas, Nevada and available on ESPN+.

Mitchell will come into this fight as the favorite, but only by a slim margin.

With a 13-1 MMA record, “Thug Nasty” is an undefeated 4-0 in the UFC. He should be gifted a top-15 opponent if he can take down Fili. Mitchell, who is both a competent grappler and striker, averages 2.05 significant strikes per minute and 2.13 takedowns per 15 minutes. With a 59 percent strike accuracy and 41 percent takedown accuracy, he also defends 58 percent of his opponent’s strikes.

Having fought on the preliminary card of Ferguson vs. Gaethje back in May, Mitchell should be rested after dominating Charles Rosa. In his four UFC bouts, he has just one fight that hasn’t gone the distance, so this may be expected to go all three rounds.

He’ll be fighting a much more experienced Fili, arguably his most challenging opponent yet. Coming off a June win over Charles Jourdain, he improved his record to 21-7. He had five takedowns in that bout and averages 2.71 per 15 minutes.

He also averages 3.9 significant strikes at just 36 percent accuracy. He takes 3.97 per minute which may be why he’s just 9-6 in the UFC. Eight of his last nine UFC bouts have gone the distance.

Both fighters are fine with letting this one be a grapple-heavy bout which is why bettors might expect this to need the judges to decide the winner.

Here are the betting odds at DraftKings Sportsbook for Andre Fili vs. Bryce Mitchell at UFC Vegas 12 on October 31st.
