Game day update: This will remain a tough contest for these Lions WRs, facing the Colts defense who have allowed the fewest passing yards on the season while topping the league at 10 interceptions. ESPN projects Golladay and Jones for 11.6 and 8.0 points, respectively.
Matthew Stafford led the Lions to a 23-22 last-second victory over the Falcons in Week 7. The veteran quarterback totaled 340 passing yards, spreading the ball around to a multitude of receivers. After enjoying the resulting fantasy goodness from the likes of Kenny Golladay and Marvin Jones Jr., should you trust either WR in their Week 8 matchup against the Colts?
Fantasy Football analysis: Lions WRs Kenny Golladay, Marvin Jones
Since returning from his hamstring injury, Golladay has been one of the most consistent wide receiver plays in the league. His totals haven’t strayed outside the range of 16.2-20.4 DKFP. While the Colts are allowing the fewest passing yards in the league, Kenny should be considered matchup proof since we know there’s an established chemistry between he and Stafford. As for Marvin Jones Jr., who’s also coming off of his best fantasy week of the season with 13 DKFP, he will likely fade to the background once again. He’ll have a hard time reaching his average of five targets per game, making him extremely unreliable.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Start Kenny. Sit Marvin.
