Swiss Skydiver by a nose over Kentucky Derby winner Authentic wins the Preakness Stakes to close out the 2020 Triple Crown season. Trainer Ken McPeek wins his first Preakness Stakes with a filly, the first lady to claim the Run for the Black-Eyed Susans since Rachel Alexandra in 2009, and only the sixth-ever.
The 11-1 shot is just the 12th filly to ever win a Triple Crown race, and paid 25.40 for the win, making all the exotics she hit pay quite handsomely.
The opening quarter-mile was a very slow 24.2, and they crossed the line in 1:53.1.
