Things haven’t exactly gone as planned for Big 12 football early in the 2020 college football season. As a whole, the conference did not fair well in the non-conference slate and with some of its top teams struggling, it can be questioned whether the Big 12 will be a part of the College Football Playoff this season.
That’s a college football debate that will last all season long, but let’s take a look at this week’s slate and see some of the more interesting betting splits heading into Saturday’s game.
All odds and info are provided by DraftKings Sportsbook.
Baylor vs. West Virginia
As we look ahead to the Baylor Bears heading out to play the West Virginia Mountaineers, 84% of the bets are coming in on Baylor covering the 2.5-point spread as favorites. The more noteworthy betting split coming into this matchup is the Bears are receiving almost all of the money being wagered on the spread. Of all the money that came in, 99% of the handle is landing on the Bears to cover against West Virginia.
Texas Tech vs. Kansas State
The splits are off in different directions when it comes to the point spread in Texas Tech’s road matchup with Kansas State on Saturday. The Wildcats are receiving only 41% of the bets coming off their huge win over Oklahoma. However, 76% of the money is being bet on Kansas State to cover as 2.5-point favorites against Texas Tech.
Oklahoma vs. Iowa State
In what might be an underrated game this weekend in college football, it will be interesting to see how the Oklahoma Sooners bounce back after a devastating loss to Kansas State. Plenty of sports bettors believe Oklahoma can get the job done as seven-point favorites on the road against Iowa State. The Sooners are receiving 80% of the bets and 80% of the handle to cover the point spread.
