One of the top prospects for this draft, Ball has started the interview process with the Timberwolves, Warriors, Hornets and other lottery teams.

2020 NBA Draft top prospect LaMelo Ball has begun the interview process with teams at the top of the draft. According to ESPN, Ball has met with the Minnesota Timberwolves, who have the No. 1 overall pick. He is also scheduled to meet with the Golden State Warriors, Charlotte Hornets and Chicago Bulls — the Nos. 2, 3 and 4 picks, respectively.

LaMelo Ball, the brother of Lonzo Ball and son of LaVar Ball, is expected to go in the top 5 of the draft. After playing overseas in Australia instead of going to play in the NCAA, Ball is a combo guard who fits into the style of today’s position-less NBA. Ball can feasibly play PG, SG and SF, he is an elite passer and finisher at the rim. Ball’s game possesses a lot of flash, though his skillset is perfect for any team looking to push the pace.

Right now on DraftKings Sportsbook, Ball is +195 to be selected No. 1 overall by the T-Wolves. SG Anthony Edwards has the best odds of being picked first at -235. Ball is also -225 to be selected in UNDER 2.5 picks. OVER 2.5 is +180. Ball might have the most upside of any player in this draft class, but he carries some risk. He appears to be a ball-dominant PG with size but could struggle to create his own offense at the next level given the League’s tough perimeter defenders.
