Friday AM update: The Jets are going to be shorthanded at wide receiver this weekend against the Chiefs. Breshad Perriman has been ruled out for Sunday’s game, per Brian Costello, and Jamison Crowder had a setback is “not looking good” for Sunday, per Rich Cimini.
The New York Jets welcomed back Jamison Crowder at practice on Thursday. Crowder sat out the team’s first practice of Week 8, on Wednesday, but is back on a limited basis, per Rich Cimini.
Crowder sat out Week 7 due to a groin injury. He was limited on Wednesday, a DNP on Thursday, and limited again on Friday before being listed as doubtful on Friday’s final injury report. He did not appear to exit Week 6 with an injury, but was added to the injury report that following Wednesday.
The Jets are looking like they could be without Breshad Perriman, who is in the concussion protocol. He was a DNP on Wednesday and is also sitting out Thursday, according to Connor Hughes.
Braxton Berrios and Denzel Mims are the top two healthiest Jets receivers at the moment, with Jeff Smith also likely to contribute if the unit is otherwise shorthanded on Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs.
