What to do with DJ Moore, Robby Anderson, Curtis Samuel in Week 8 fantasy football

DJ Moore busted out for two touchdowns in Week 7 against the Saints after scoring just once up until that point. That left Robby Anderson with a relatively pedestrian line of 74 yards on six catches. Curtis Samuel scored a rushing touchdown in that game and also caught each of his six targets. The fantasy prospects of everyone in this trio are looking up ahead of a Thursday night meeting with the Atlanta Falcons’ terrible pass defense.

If you’re depending on Moore or Anderson in Week 8, you have to like their chances. They’ve already shown that they can put up good numbers against the Falcons; they tallied 19 and 22 DraftKings points, respectively, when these teams first met in Week 5. And Atlanta’s secondary has been getting burned all year; they have allowed six WRs to reach 100 yards and have given up the second-most receiving yards to wideouts (1,561). Moore has been as consistent as a sunrise, registering 93 yards on either four or five catches in each of the past three weeks. He was due for some positive touchdown regression. Anderson is too as he hasn’t seen the end zone since Week 1. Still, the former Jet is averaging 18 DraftKings points per week. Don’t get too enamored with Samuel. While it’s been nice to see the Panthers get him more involved in a variety of ways, he hasn’t gained more than 64 yards from scrimmage in any game and his snap count has been less than 50 percent in two of the past three weeks.

Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation

Robinson and Moore are must-starts in season-long leagues. Anderson is a little pricier, $6,600 to Moore’s $6,200. Samuel is a decent value at $3,900, but he’s still not seeing quite enough work to be a comfy play. He’s only a low-end flex option in 12-team PPR formats.
