D/ST rankings for Week 8 fantasy football

We take you through some of the best D/STs going in Week 8 for fantasy football, including a few viable streamers.

Covid-19 update

There were some concerns around the Vikings, Broncos, Chargers, and Giants with positive player tests. All four teams have had no positives heading into Saturday evening, which puts them on track to play as scheduled.

Week 7 was good for playing your D/ST against Drew Lock, Andy Dalton, Sam Darnold, Cam Newton and Nick Foles, as each D/ST hit or topped 14 fantasy points against them.

This week we can take advantage of some poor quarterbacks, as Daniel Jones faces the Buccaneers, Sam Darnold faces the Chiefs, Dalton, if he can clear concussion protocol, faces the Eagles, Lock faces the Chargers, and Foles gets the Saints.

Your D/ST doesn’t have to be great, it just needs to face bad quarterbacks.

New Orleans Saints

The Saints can’t seem to stop the deep pass, but they do have a stout defensive front and the Bears offensive line looked bad last week. If Foles is forced to do more than his line can handle, he’s going to turn the ball over, especially if the Saints can get a lead.

Green Bay Packers

The Packers defense hasn’t done much to write home about, but they face a Vikings team that can’t get out of its own way. With one of the worst offensive lines in the league, the Vikings will have trouble if the Packers and Aaron Rodgers can get a lead and get the Vikings in pass-first mode.
