The Browns lost Austin Hooper to an appendectomy this week, but rookie Harrison Bryant stepped up and had a strong game. Bryant caught 4-of-5 targets for 56 yards and two touchdowns. David Njoku also caught a touchdown, but didn’t get the start and saw just three targets.
Bryant’s value will depend on Austin Hooper’s status next week, but there is a chance he doesn’t play while healing from surgery. With a matchup against the Raiders, Bryant should have value in Week 8. He’s only rostered in 1 percent of Yahoo leagues, so should be available for streaming this week.
The Browns get one of the best schedules moving forward and they are splitting time at tight end. It looks like Bryant, at worst, will be the No. 2 tight end behind Hooper and if Odell Beckham Jr. misses time, Bryant could have some value even as the No. 2 tight end.
