San Francisco tight end George Kittle is one of the top players at his position, especially when it comes to fantasy football. He’s the preferred target for quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo, ensuring plenty of targets and opportunities most weeks. But what about their Week 6 matchup against the Patriots?
Fantasy Football analysis: 49ers TE George Kittle
The Patriots defense is famous for focusing in on a team’s top offensive weapon and doing their best to take that player out of the game. To that end, Kittle can expect plenty of attention this week. We’ve seen this already in 2020. Travis Kelce of the Chiefs was only able to catch three passes on seven targets back in Week 4, though he did finish with 70 yards. They erased Raiders tight end Darren Waller, holding him to nine yards on two catches.
Even knowing that the Patriots are going to be dialed in on Kittle, he’s just too good not to start. They may be successful and limit his production, or they may not, and he could have a big game. You can’t take the chance and leave him on the bench (though you could look elsewhere in DFS leagues for help this week).
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Start George Kittle.
