An AFC North clash between the Browns and the Bengals will put the running backs to test for both sides. For Cleveland, that means Kareem Hunt and D’Ernest Johnson need to help their quarter back. How will that fare in fantasy usage?
Fantasy Football analysis: Browns RBs Kareem Hunt, D’Ernest Johnson
Kareem Hunt has stepped in as the primary back since Nick Chubb’s unfortunate injury early in the season. He’s had solid numbers, with 150 total yards and a touchdown on 38 touches (33 carries, five receptions) over the previous two games, making him a nice fantasy running back. Carrying no injury designation and an expected better passing usage against a less stingy defense and Hunt should thrive this game.
Johnson is the change of pace back. Last week in a tough match vs the Steelers he carried four times for one yard and was targeted once in what was frankly, a lousy game. He’ll probably improve this week, but not anywhere near enough to warrant a start.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Start Hunt, bench Johnson.
