On the main card of UFC 254, #7 Alexander Volkov will take on #10 Walt Harris in a heavyweight bout live this Saturday from Fight Island in Abu Dhabi and available on pay-per-view via ESPN+.

Volkov will enter as the far more experienced fighter. He’s 31-8 in his MMA career and 5-2 at the UFC level. “Drago” has only lost to #2 Curtis Blaydes and #4 Derrick Lewis in the promotion. Volkov delivers a heavy dose of strikes, landing 4.65 significant strikes per minute. He absorbs 2.53 per minute, defending 54 percent of what’s thrown at him.

As for his opponent, Walt “The Big Ticket” Harris is 13-8 with one no contest in MMA. He actually has more bouts at the UFC level, entering with a 6-7 record with a no contest. He’s also a strike-heavy fighter, landing 2.97 significant blows per minute. He connects on just 39 percent of his attempts. Defending 56 percent of his opponent’s strikes, Harris is coming off a loss in which Alistair Overeem dominated him in May. Before that, he had two first-round finishes.

This could go either way, but it feels like Volkov is the better bet.

Here are the betting splits at DraftKings Sportsbook for Alexander Volkov vs. Walt Harris at UFC 254 on October 24th.

Alexander Volkov: -182, (67% of action, 62% of bets)

Winning method splits

Here are the splits for the method of victory at DraftKings Sportsbook for Alexander Volkov vs. Walt Harris at UFC 254 on October 24th:

DraftKings DFS Values

Alexander Volkov: $8,600
Walt Harris: $7,600

Volkov has landed over 100 strikes in three of his seven UFC fights. He’s a point machine and could easily be worth barely more than par. If this is a long, drawn-out fight, Volkov will be a fighter you don’t want to be betting against. Harris has three UFC wins since 2018, all of which he ended before the bell for the finish of round two, yet he totaled under 30 significant strikes in each without a takedown.

Volkov is the only good pre-fight DFS bet.
