The resurgent Kentucky Wildcats head to Columbia this week to take on the Missouri Tigers, who have struggled to stop offenses.
The Tigers defense has had a very tough time stopping any team from throwing the ball but they’ve had some success against the run, only allowing 49 total yards on the ground in their win over LSU. That could play in their favor, since Kentucky is a run-heavy team. The Wildcats only have one game where QB Terry Wilson has thrown for more than 200 yards, he only has three touchdowns on the year too.
But Kentucky makes up for the lack of a passing game on the ground. They get 206 yards per game on average, and exploded for 408 and six touchdowns against Ole Miss three weeks ago. Still where the Wildcats really make their money is on defense. Against Mississippi State they got six interceptions and last week against Tennessee they took the ball away four times, including two pick-sixes. They’ll be looking to capitalize on a Missouri team that loves to throw the ball. Tigers QB Connor Bazelak has just under 700 yards, 406 of them came against LSU. He only has one interception too. That matchup, Kentucky’s secondary against Mizzou’s QB, will probably determine the outcome of the game

The Best Bet
The over/under here is probably the best bet. With Kentucky, you have a defense that is able to prevent a lot of points from being scored, while also not blowing up the scoreboard themselves. As long as they don’t get multiple turnovers returned for scores again, it should hit the under.
Pick: Under 47
