What to do with Ezekiel Elliott in Week 7 fantasy football

We go over Ezekiel Elliott’s fantasy football outlook ahead of the Cowboys Week 7 matchup against Washington.

Will Ezekiel Elliot shine as a high price DFS option in week 7?

Game day update: You were never going to question whether or not you were plying Ezekiel Elliott in Week 8. However, he does have an intriguing prop bet on DraftKings Sportsbook. He’s at an over/under of 83.5 rushing yards for the day against the Washington Football team. Elliott has averaged 102 rushing yards and 1.1 touchdowns in his seven career games versus Washington. It’s a middle of the pack matchup, and despite the Cowboys’ struggle on offense in the absence of Dak Prescott, it seems as good as a lock.

Just how bad are the Dallas Cowboys this season? Well, it’s gotten to the point that even running back Ezekiel Elliott, normally a sure thing to at least keep his team competitive, is getting sucked into the void. Still, despite the (relatively) down season, he remains a must-start in fantasy football.

Fantasy Football analysis: Cowboys RB Ezekiel Elliott

Elliot had just 80 total yards last week—49 on the ground and 31 more as Andy Dalton’s preferred check down option—but lost two fumbles to erase much of his fantasy scoring. That’s four fumbles lost on the season for Elliott. His average of 68.8 rushing yards per game is the worst of his career, by a long shot.

He does at least have a better matchup this week against Washington, a team that’s been gashed by Nick Chubb and Darrell Henderson. And he’s still a threat to break out in any given week, which means, if he’s on your roster, he belongs in your lineup... regardless of his fumbling problem.
