Friday PM update: The Cardinals officially announced Hopkins as questionable for Week 7.

Friday update: Cardinals coach Kliff Kingsbury is “hopeful” that DeAndre Hopkins can play Sunday night against the Seahawks, per Josh Weinfuss. It would take an act of God to keep Hopkins off the field, but keep your eyes peeled for meteors.

The Arizona Cardinals will host the Seattle Seahawks in a NFC West matchup in Week 7, and they could potentially be shorthanded in a big way. Wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins did not practice on Wednesday or Thursday, per ESPN’s Josh Weinfuss.

Hopkins did not appear to come out of the Cardinals Week 6 game with an injury, but he’s been dealing with an ankle problem since Week 4. Hopkins doesn’t miss games and played in Week 4 after not practicing at all, but he also had one of his worst games of the season.

Hopkins leads the league with 47 receptions for 601 yards, but only has two touchdowns so far. If he can’t go this week, Christian Kirk would be a strong play in fantasy against a Seattle pass defense that has been getting smoked this season. Hopefully Hopkins return to practice Friday, as this matchup is great and if he’s healthy, the fantasy points should be plentiful.
