The Atlanta Falcons are back at practice on Thursday and got some good news for Week 7. Wide receiver Julio Jones returned to practice after sitting out Wednesday’s session, per D. Orlando Ledbetter. Jones was listed as a DNP on Wednesday due to a hamstring injury that cost him the team’s Week 5 contest.
Jones was on the injury report for much of Week 6, but was removed from the final version and had a huge game against the Minnesota Vikings. He caught eight of ten targets for 137 yards and two touchdowns as the Falcons romped to victory.
At this point, it’s safe to assume Jones will be getting one or two rest days each week the rest of the way. The hamstring has been an issue much of the season, so there is always concern for aggravation. But if he’s active on Sunday, he’s a solid start against the Detroit Lions this weekend.
