We go over Golden Tate and Darius Slayton’s fantasy football outlook ahead of the Giants Week 7 matchup against the Eagles on TNF.

The Giants will be looking for their second win of the season on Thursday night as they face off with the Philadelphia Eagles. The Eagles are banged up on both sides of the ball, including some injuries to players in the secondary. The Giants will look to capitalize on these injuries to an already vulnerable pass defense on Thursday night. Do these receivers belong in your starting lineup? We break down the fantasy analysis below.

Fantasy Football analysis: Giants WRs Golden Tate, Darius Slayton

Golden Tate is typically a decent floor player and you can count on him for four or five receptions per game. However, last weekend he saw a dip in usage, bringing in only one reception for 11 yards. He finished the game with 2.1 points, which was well below his 6.9 point season average. While Tate’s floor is decent for deeper leagues, he doesn’t offer much in standard 10-12 team leagues. He is likely best left on the bench aside from flex consideration in the deepest of leagues.

Darius Slayton has had a rollercoaster of a season, scoring anywhere from a high of 28.2 to a low of 6.3 PPR points per game. He is currently hobbled by a foot injury, but he was able to push through his pain in Week 6 to manage two receptions for 41 yards and a touchdown. For the most part, Slayton has been a bright spot in the Giants offense this year, and he is averaging 7.3 targets per game. It looks as if Slayton will push through his injury once again and he is worth a start as a WR3/flex given his target volume and match-up with an injury ridden division rival.
