Travis Fulgham, Greg Ward, and John Hightower have gotten more opportunities than usual for the Philadelphia Eagles while their receiving corps was spread thin by injuries, but now DeSean Jackson is set to return against the New York Giants in Week 7. Let’s go over the fantasy football upside for the receivers who could be affected by Jackson’s return.
Fantasy Football analysis: Eagles WRs Greg Ward, Travis Fulgham, John Hightower
Fulgham has benefitted most from Eagles injuries and leads the team in receiving yards and touchdowns. He’s easily been Philadelphia’s best pass catcher for three straight games and his six-catch performance for 75 yards and a score against the Baltimore Ravens in his last outing shows he can get things done against the best. Ward hasn’t been as productive as Fulgham but leads the Eagles in targets (34) and has scored two touchdowns. I wouldn’t be surprised if Ward continued to take a backseat to Fulgham, who’s been more productive than him while playing half as many games. Hightower will likely become an afterthought. He’s averaging under 18 receiving yards per game despite making six appearances with Philadelphia this season.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Fulgham is the only option worth starting in this group. He’s nearly averaged 100 receiving yards per game since becoming a starter and has scored in three straight games.
