Miles Sanders has been limited with a glute injury this week, but coach Doug Pederson says Sanders will play this week, per Jeff McClane of the Philadelphia Enquirer. Sanders dealt with a hamstring injury early in the season, so it would seem the back of his leg is not 100 percent, but the team must feel okay about his chances of re-injury.
Sanders has been a true bell-cow back this season with 22.5 touches per game, ranking him fourth in the league. His matchup with the 49ers on Sunday isn’t great, but their defensive line is weaker than it was to start the season and Sanders’ workload is just too good to fade in a league where few backs get 20-plus touches per game.
