The Los Angeles Dodgers and Tampa Bay Rays have advanced to the 2020 World Series. The two teams entered the playoffs with the two best records in Major League Baseball, and survived the expanded three round gauntlet to reach the Fall Classic.
The World Series start date is Tuesday, October 20th. The Dodgers are the higher seed by virtue of record, and thus will serve as the home team in Games 1 and 2, and if necessary, Games 6 and 7. However, the series location will be Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas. MLB moved the LDS, LCS, and World Series rounds to neutral fields in order to minimize team travel during the Covid-19 pandemic. The Dodgers will bat second in the first two and last two games, while the Rays will bat second in the middle three games.
