Boston Scott: Early waiver wire option in Week 7

Boston Scott is next in line with Miles Sanders scheduled for a Monday MRI.

The Philadelphia Eagles are in competition with the San Francisco 49ers for most injuries through the first six-weeks. Their latest is to Miles Sanders, who had 118 rushing yards on nine carries against a tough Ravens defense before suffering a knee injury.

Sanders will get an MRI on Monday to determine the extent of his knee injury, but even if Sanders avoids structural damage, the Eagles will host the Giants in just four days on Thursday Night Football. That kind of turnaround is going to probably be impossible for Sanders to make after not returning to the field on Sunday.

Boston Scott hasn’t done much this season, but there’s nobody else to pick up the slack and Scott did show well last year when called upon. He’s also going to see targets, especially if Zach Ertz also has trouble getting back and healthy for this game. The Giants are better against the run than the pass, but they just gave up 11 receptions to the Washington backs. With a full workload, Scott isn’t going to get a ton of rushing attempts but will see enough targets to have value in PPR leagues.
