Tim Patrick: Early waiver wire option in Week 7

Tim Patrick has his third consecutive game with either 100 receiving yards or a score

Though the Broncos offense has surely missed tight end Noah Fant, there has been one bright spot — the emergence of wideout Tim Patrick. Patrick managed his third-consecutive game of either 100 receiving yards or a score in Sunday’s outing, as QB Drew Lock returned from injury.

His target share moving forward with Fant back in the lineup remains to be seen, but he has certainly shown an ability to make plays when asked to step up. Starting WR Courtland Sutton was also lost for the season after suffering a torn ACL in Week 2, so theoretically, there should be enough targets to go around.

Patrick played 75% or more of offensive snaps in four of five games so far this season with a total of 19 targets in his last three outings. He leads the team in fantasy points per touch and is the only Broncos wideout who has yet to register a drop on the season. Available in 82 percent of Yahoo! fantasy football leagues, Patrick should should be rostered and is a solid weekly flex play until proven otherwise.
