What to do with A.J. Brown, Adam Humphries in Week 6 fantasy football

We go over A.J. Brown, Adam Humphries’ fantasy football outlook ahead of the Titans Week 6 matchup against the Texans.

The Tennessee Titans are still undefeated in the 2020 NFL season, after putting an old-fashioned whooping on the then-undefeated Buffalo Bills in Week 5, beating Buffalo 42-16.

Adam Humphries missed the game while on the Covid-19 list, but Humphries’s teammate, A.J. Brown played, leading the Titans in targets (9), receptions (7), and receiving yards (82). Brown also scored one of the Titans’ six offensive touchdowns last week, and the Titans will hope to continue their roll against the Houston Texans, with an 11 a.m. kickoff Week 6.

Fantasy Football analysis: Titans WRs A.J. Brown, Adam Humphries

The Texans are roughly middle-of-the-road against opposing wide receivers in 2020, coming in allowing the 12th-most fantasy points against through the season’s first five games. But this is a Houston team that has faced the likes of Tyreek Hill, JuJu Smith-Schuster, and Adam Thielen, among others, at the position. And some of the Texans’ 2020 opponents, like the Baltimore Ravens and Kansas City Chiefs are clearly designed to attack opposing defenses through the air.

That is now how the Titans offense functions.

While the Texans might otherwise present favorable opportunities to elite wide receivers in a high-powered offense, Brown - while one of the better receivers in the NFL - is not the caliber of player of someone like Tyreek Hill and his quarterback and system is not the caliber of Andy Reid’s Chiefs. If there was someone to start, it would be Brown, as Humphries likely won’t find enough targets in the Titans offense this week to make a huge difference.

Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation

Start Brown as a WR2. Bench Humphries.
