To say Carson Wentz and the Philadelphia Eagles have disappointed so far this season would be like saying the 2020 calendar year as a whole has had a few “minor inconveniences.”

The one-win Eagles are led by a quarterback originally thought to be the long-term franchise quarterback of the future for Philadelphia, with some now questioning whether Wentz should go down as a one of the franchise’s biggest busts. This week, Wentz hopes to turn his - and his team’s - season around as the Eagles are set to host the one-loss Baltimore Ravens.

Fantasy Football analysis: Eagles QB Carson Wentz

Carson Wentz has not played a gauntlet of opposing secondaries in 2020. He’s played Washington, the Rams, Bengals, 49ers, and Steelers. In those five games, Wentz has yet to throw for over 300 passing yards, and has nine interceptions to only six passing touchdowns.

On the flip side, the Baltimore Ravens have played a handful of decent quarterbacks in 2020, including Patrick Mahomes, Deshaun Watson, Baker Mayfield, and Joe Burrow. So considering the Ravens are allowing the 14th-fewest fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks in 2020, it’s even more impressive when their opposition is taken into account.

If Wentz - he of the 53.2 quarterback rating in 2020 - wants to turn his season around, it’ll likely have to come in two weeks against the New York Giants.
