Sunday night football will be an all California affair as the San Francisco 49ers face the Los Angeles Rams in a Week 6 matchup. With two solid receiver groups, this game could be won in the air.
The 49ers have a pair of emerging stars in Deebo Samuel and Brandon Aiyuk, who will try to win this game for their teams. The question will be can their quarter back get them the ball enough.
Fantasy Football analysis: 49ers WRs Deebo Samuel, Brandon Aiyuk
Samuel was tied for the team lead in targets with eight and should see similar targets this week. Facing a solid secondary led by perennial Pro Bowler, Jalen Ramsey. the 49ers have their work cut out from them. This will be his third game this season after a long layoff early in the year with an injury sustained in the off season. Deebo has made himself more and more a part of the game plan and this could be his welcome back game. A dynamic receiver who can catch and rush he is a real dual weapons and that could only be beneficial fantasy wise.
Aiyuk had to pick up the slack after Samuel’s absence and mostly has. With that said, he tied George Kittle for the team lead in receiving yards in a forgettable game all around, notably because of poor quarter back play. Still, with a minor improvement in the QB slot, Brandon is a YAK animal, as is Samuel, so he could get back on track. Having no TD’s this season is concerning, but with much effort put on covering Kittle and Samuel he could get some favorable looks.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Start both in deeper leagues, only Samuel if you have to pick one.
