Tampa Bay’s running backs enter a good matchup against the Green Bay Packers this weekend. Despite multiple additions to the Tampa backfield in Leonard Fournette, LeSean McCoy and Ke’Shawn Vaughn, it does seem to be Jones position now.
With injury concerns elsewhere fantasy managers will be keeping a close eye on who can emerge as a solid starter. RoJo seems to have a lead.
Fantasy Football analysis: Bucs RBs Ronald Jones II, Leonard Fournette
Ronald Jones has now rushed for over 100 yards two weeks in a row and I see that continuing this week versus a middling Green Bay defense. In Jones you have a dual threat back, though he only collected three catches last week, his rushing should stay at similar production. The only issue seems to be his lack of touchdowns, as he has not scored since 9/20 against the Carolina Panthers.
For Leonard Fournette, it has been an injury plagued season since arriving from the Jaguars this off season. With a questionable designation this week and a returning LeSean McCoy from injury, I don’t see much if any workload for him.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Start Jones as an upside RB2/ flex option and keep Fournette out of your lineups.
