Jared Goff spread the ball around in the passing game once again in LA’s Week 5 win over Washington. This has become a common occurrence, with just one game where a receiver out-caught everyone else by at least three. A Week 6 matchup against the 49ers is on the docket, and with an O/U of 51 points, we can reasonably predict a healthy amount of touchdowns. Will those go to the Rams WRs, though?
Fantasy Football analysis: Rams WRs Cooper Kupp, Robert Woods, Josh Reynolds
The top wide receiver for the Rams has flip-flopped between Cooper Kupp and Robert Woods each week, though it’s worth noting that Kupp has led the team in targets every week except in the opener. Both Kupp and Woods have two receiving touchdowns this season, though it’s worth noting that Woods has a rushing touchdown and out-carries Kupp 8-3. The point I’m stumbling around is that there’s no clear winner here. This is a common theme among fantasy-relevant Rams options, as we have seen with their RBs this season.
As for Josh Reynolds, it’s safe to say that he’s fallen to the wayside, for now. Since his four-catch and 60-yard Week 3 performance, he has caught one less pass each week. Los Angeles has a plethora of weapons to choose from, and we can’t reasonably rely on Reynolds to put up meaningful numbers.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Start Kupp. Start Woods. Sit Reynolds. And if you happen to have both Kupp and Woods on your roster, consider trading one of them for a player from a different team.
