The Rams kept rolling through Week 5 with another win, this time beating up on Washington 30-10. Goff had a huge hand (by way of his arm and legs) in the victory. But will he make fantasy owners happy in a Sunday night matchup against the San Francisco 49ers?
Fantasy Football analysis: Rams QB Jared Goff
As mentioned, Goff had one of his best performances of the season this past week, scoring three touchdowns, one of which was on the ground. Through five weeks, he hasn’t recorded fewer than 20 completions in any game. While that isn’t as high as we’d normally like to see from our fantasy QBs, he’s certainly shown he can be efficient.
The 49ers are coming off of a blowout against the Dolphins, and not in their favor. This is one of those moments where you need to kick a team while they’re down. And the best way to do that will be through the air. A win against their division foes would build their case as hopeful NFC West champions. Plus, if Ryan Fitzpatrick can throw for 350 yards and three TDs against the San Francisco defense, Jared Goff can, too.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Start him as a low-end QB1, with the hope that he can break through with another top-five fantasy QB performance.
