2 RBs to start and 2 RBs to fade in Week 2 fantasy football

We go over who you should start and who you should sit at running back for Week 6.

NFL Price Check Week 6- Running Backs

Some fantasy running backs seem poised to boom in Week 6 while others could fall short of expectations. We have out eyes on a couple ideal options to start and sit ahead of the action to help you dominate in fantasy football. Let’s take a look at some of the best options and fades to consider.

Running Back Starts

James Robinson, Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Detroit Lions

Robinson busted against the Texans in Week 5, but now he’ll face a Lions team that’s gives up more rushing yards per game than any team in the NFL. I wouldn’t count on Robinson falling short for a second straight game against a poor run defense. Injuries to Laviska Shentault Jr. and D.J. Chark Jr. could make the rookie back more of a focal point.

David Montgomery, Chicago Bears vs. Carolina Panthers

Montgomery hasn’t gotten much of a boost with Tarik Cohen out for the year but has one of the best matchups he’ll have all year in Week 6. The Panthers have been abysmal against the run and Montgomery should monopolize all goal line caries and catches out of the backfield. I expect Montgomery to be the latest in a long line of running backs who have had monster games against Carolina. The Panthers have given up more points to opposing running backs on DraftKings than any team in the NFL.

Running Back Sits

James Conner, Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Cleveland Browns

Conner has two 100-yard games under his belt, but he hasn’t faced many solid run defenses. He only averaged 2.9 yards per carry against the Eagles in his last outing, and the Browns are have been one of the NFL’s best run stoppers in 2020. He likely won’t be worth playing if he doesn’t score a touchdown.

Kenyan Drake, Arizona Cardinals vs. Cowboys

Drake scored a gimme in Week 5 and only averaged 3.3 yards per carry against the Jets. Chase Edmonds has been the most effective back for the Cardinals and there’s been no indication that Drake is close to figuring out how to end his struggles. While this is an ideal matchup against a poor Cowboys defense, I don’t expect to see much from Drake.
