Tyler Boyd, AJ Green, Tee Higgins’ fantasy football outlook in Week 6 vs. Colts

We go over Tyler Boyd, AJ Green, Tee Higgins’ fantasy football outlook ahead of the Bengals Week 6 matchup against the Colts.

Would you rather start Chase Claypool or Tee Higgins?

Sunday AM update: Man, what has happened to A.J. Green? He injured his hamstring last week, but was removed from the final injury report after a full Friday session. But even without the injury, he’s struggled to get anything going. Tyler Boyd and Tee Higgins are the two guys to play out of tis trio. Boyd is the No. 1 while Higgins is quickly improving in his rookie season. The Colts have a stout run defense, which could leave the Bengals passing plenty on Sunday.

The entire Bengals offense had a tough outing in Week 5, as they were stifled by the Baltimore defense, leaving little room for fantasy success. They face an equally formidable opponent in the Indianapolis Colts in Week 6. Given the tough match-up, are any of these receivers worth starting? We break down the fantasy analysis below.

Fantasy Football analysis: Bengals WR Tyler Boyd, AJ Green, Tee Higgins

A.J. Green left the Week 5 game with a hamstring injury and is unlikely to play in Week 6. Even before his injury, Green’s production was limited, as his younger teammates have emerged as favored targets of Joe Burrow. This new injury not only makes Green unstartable in fantasy leagues for Week 6, but also makes him a possible drop candidate. He does not belong in fantasy lineups this week.

Tee HIggins has demonstrated great chemistry with Joe Burrow over the past few weeks, on his way to three straight double digit performances. The Colts are a tough match-up, though, allowing an average of only 179 passing yards per game. Even so, Higgins has proven that he will receive targets even in tough match-ups. The departure of A.J. Green from the lineup should only increase Higgins opportunity. Higgins can be considered a low-end WR3/flex play in Week 6.

Tyler Boyd has received five or more targets in each game this season and is averaging 14.9 points per game. He has solidified his role as the WR1 in this offense and his target share provides him with a decent fantasy floor each Week. The Colts are a tough match-up as mentioned above, but Boyd’s track record and solidified role in this offense qualify him to start as a low-end WR2 this week.

Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation

Sit A.J. Green. Start Tee Higgins as a flex. Start Tyler Boyd as a low-end WR2.
