In the final preliminary card fight of UFC Fight Island 6, Mateusz Gamrot will take on Guram Kutateladze in a lightweight bout that will be live from Yas Island in Abu Dhabi, and also available on ESPN+.
Coming in as the strong favorite, Mateusz Gamrot is 17-0 with one no contest to his resume. This will be his first UFC fight, but the 29-year-old from Poland has quite a bit of experience and is a mixed bag with tendencies as both a striker and grappler. In those 17 victories, five were knockouts, four were submissions and eight were decisions.
The 5-foot-10 fighter is associated with American Top Team, an elite group that also trains Tyron Woodley, Amanda Nunes and Jorge Masvidal.
He’ll be taking on another UFC rookie in the 11-2 Guram Kutateladze. Born in the country of Georgia, the 28-year-old has seven knockouts in his eleven victories with just one submission, so he’s clearly a more strike-heavy fighter. He hasn’t fought yet in 2020 and had just one fight, a victory via knockout, in 2019.
