Friday PM update: Mayfield is listed as questionable on the injury report, but all signs point to him suiting up agains the Steelers.
Friday update: Baker Mayfield participated in a full practice on Friday and will start against the Steelers, per ESPN’s Jake Trotter. There is a chance he isn’t 100 percent with rib pain, but he wasn’t limited on Friday.
Thursday update: Baker Mayfield didn’t throw in practice. Instead, he threw with training staff after practice, per ESPN’s Jake Trotter. That seems like a bad sign, but Trotter also reports that OC Alex Van Pelt believes Mayfield is “trending in the right direction” to start against the Steelers on Sunday. Case Keenum waits in the wings.
Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield hurt his ribs in Week 5 against the Colts, but will get a limited practice to start the week, per Scott Petrak of The Chronicle Telegram. Mayfield says he is sore and coach Kevin Stefanski doesn’t know if Mayfield will wear a flak jacket or not:
