Updated 2020 NBA Mock Draft: Edwards goes No. 1 to T-Wolves

The 2020 NBA Draft is about a month away and the order has been set. A lot could change ahead of draft day, but we’ve put together a mock draft based on the current order. Anthony Edwards, LaMelo Ball, and James Wiseman are the top prospects likely all be top five picks, and here’s who will think will come after that trio.

1. Minnesota Timberwolves — Anthony Edwards, G, Georgia

Most NBA Draft aficionados appear to think Minnesota will select Edwards with the first overall pick. While he might not fit what they need, he’s arguably the most talented player available. LaMelo Ball stands out as the only player who could give Edwards a run for his money.

2. Golden State Warriors — James Wiseman, C, Memphis

The Warriors are more likely to trade back and acquire a veteran player who is capable of contributing to a deep championship run. What they need most is a center, so James Wiseman would male the most sense at second overall.

3. Charlotte Hornets — LaMelo Ball, G, NBL (Australia)

The Hornets need a franchise player, and Ball can be that. The rangy guard can play two to three positions and has the kind of playmaking skills that can make his teammates better. Michael Jordan gets the most marketable player in the draft.

4. Chicago Bulls — Isaac Okoro, G/F, Auburn

The Bulls are loaded with talented, young bigs and have a backcourt rotation that includes Zach Lavine and Coby White, Their best defender — Kris Dunn — is likely headed out the door, so getting a versatile swingman with the potential to become a two-way star could be big.

5. Cleveland Cavaliers — Onyeka Onkongwu, PF/C, USC

If Wiseman is off the board, the Cavs can get the best defensive big man in the draft. Okongwu is a great rim runner and could pair well with Collin Sexton and Darius Garland in pick-and-roll sets. It’s time for Cleveland to prepare for life after Tristian Thompson and Kevin Love.

15. Orlando Magic — Cole Anthony, PG, UNC
