The NFL is back for Week 5 of the 2020 regular season, and kickoff is fast approaching for Sunday’s slate. We have a shortened Sunday once again because of Covid-19, and it will be an overall shortened week. The Broncos-Patriots game has been moved to next week due to the Patriots outbreak, and Bills-Titans is in question due to Tennessee having a staff member test positive on Sunday.
The rest of the schedule should get going without any hiccups as there were no other positive Covid-19 tests heading into game day. We have seven games at 1 p.m. ET, highlighted by a Bengals-Ravens game that could be more interesting than expected with Joe Burrow’s emergence. The 4:05/4:25 p.m. slot has three games, highlighted by Colts-Browns. Sunday wraps with Vikings-Seahawks.
There are a host of injuries to sort out, but a lot of questionable options should be playing. Jimmy Garoppolo and Raheem Mostert are expected back for the 49ers, and Lamar Jackson, Mark Andrews, and Marquise Brown are all expected to play for the 49ers. The bigger questions are Julio Jones for Sunday, and Mike Williams and Michael Thomas for Monday Night Football.
We’ll be keeping an eye out for news on pertinent players and figuring out last minute roster decisions. That means not only who is not playing this week, but who is playing but might not be the best start in your Week 5 fantasy football lineup. We’ll provide updates on injuries, key start/sit decisions, and more leading up to 1 p.m. kickoffs.
