Game status: Raheem Mostert is ACTIVE for Week 5.

1 p.m. update: The 49ers kick off in three hours, but early indications from warmups are that he is going to play on Sunday, per Jennifer Chan. The more important question is what kind of role he will have vs. Jerick McKinnon. That is still unclear.

Game day update: Mostert “should be good” for Sunday’s game, according to Adam Schefter. Kyle Shanahan rotates his running backs a good deal, and coming off a two-week absence, it’s tough to tell how sizable a workload Mostert will get in is return.

Running back Raheem Mostert has not been on the field in uniform with the San Francisco 49ers since Week 2. He was forced out of that game in the first half with a knee injury, and has been on the sidelines until this week. Mostert rejoined his team for practice this week, in a limited role, and is listed as questionable on the official injury report.

Fantasy impact: Raheem Mostert injury

Mostert’s status for this week is still up in the air. Head coach Kyle Shanahan suggested that it could come down to a game-time decision ahead of their 4:05 PM ET kickoff at home against Miami. The late kickoff makes him a dicey play for fantasy purposes.

Whether Mostert plays or not, running back Jerick McKinnon will be on the field. McKinnon was heavily involved in the game plan last week, and could be in line for a big day against the Dolphins, especially if Mostert doesn’t suit up.
