A divisional game in the NFC East. The Dallas Cowboys welcome the New York Giants to town. Both teams will look to get back on track after an abysmal first quarter for both clubs. Can the Cowboys fix some of their end of game woes and can the Giants figure anything out on offense? We’ll find out Sunday.
A nine-point favorite, the Cowboys should have enough firepower to feel confident in laying the points at home here. Having nearly three times as many points (126-47) should make anyone feeling hesitant feel better as the Giants are just a bad team. Defensively they are actually decent, allowing 24 per game, but the Cowboys should have more than enough with Ezekiel Elliott and a stacked receiver room to carry them to win and cover. This game has the makings of a get right game for Dallas.
A relatively high point total does not make much sense to me. Barring an absolute drubbing by Dallas, this game should come in under the mark set at 53.5. The key battle to watch will be a high scoring offense who averages 31.5 per game and the Giants defense which is only allowing 24 as mentioned above. If the Cowboys can get going early and never really worry about a comeback it should be smooth sailing for the points spread and Dallas moneyline.
The majority of the handle and bets are for the Cowboys and the points, with 74 percent of the handle and 64 percent of the bets leaning toward Dallas. The same is true with the moneyline at an even higher percentage, with 95 percent of the handle and 93 percent of the bets favoring the Cowboys.
Discussing the point total, the money is on the over just so, with 56 percent of the handle hoping the game goes over 53.5 points. The percent of bets made are all square, with 50 percent leaning over and 50 under.
