Game time moved: The Broncos-Patriots game has been moved out of this week with reports that it will happen next Sunday. Sit all your Broncos and Patriots.
Sunday AM update: The Patriots have had a new positive test Sunday morning and shut down the facility. They are testing everybody and should have results later Sunday morning. Adam Schefter reports the NFL is still planning on playing the Monday game, but the game has to be in question at this point. Barring any news before 1 p.m. ET, you should bench your Patriots and Broncos.
A rescheduled game that is now on Monday night spreads out the NFL schedule. Let’s take a fantasy football outlook ahead of the Broncos Week 5 matchup against the Patriots. What should you do with Jerry Jeudy and Tim Patrick? I’ll tell you.
*Game is subject to cancellation depending on COVID positive tests, so keep that in mind
Fantasy Football analysis: Broncos WRs Jerry Jeudy, Tim Patrick
Jerry Jeudy, had his coming out party v the New York Jets on a national stage. His 48 yard touchdown energized a down trodden fan base. But, if you look at underlying numbers he had fairly limited usage. He had just four targets and caught two of them. The disparity in the huge catch and the rest of his season where his previous long was 25 is worth noting. He is a boom or bust, low end flex option.
Patrick had a similar game, netting a huge 40 yard TD vs the Jets. He did have slightly more targets with seven, while pulling in six of them. Depending on who is quarterback and the run heaviness of the offense, I’d stay away from both unless necessary.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Start Patrick for his increased usage. Sit Jeudy for boom or bust reasons as he has to show more consistency.
