What to do with George Kittle in Week 5 fantasy football

We go over George Kittle’s fantasy football outlook ahead of the 49ers Week 5 matchup against the Dolphins.

George Kittle has spent his entire career so far with the 49ers, signing a shiny brand new 5-year contract this season for $75 million with an additional $18 million signing bonus. The 49ers have made it clear that they want him to stick around for the long haul, making him the highest-paid tight end in the league. While Kittle sat out for in Weeks 2 and 3 with a sprained MCL, he came back in Week 4 with authority. Can he do the same in Week 5?

Fantasy Football analysis: 49ers TE George Kittle

Kittle completely dominated Philadelphia’s defense in his Week 4 return, catching all 15 of his targets good for 183 yards and a touchdown on top of that. Despite the 49ers coming out of that game with a loss, it’s all smiles for Kittle as he seems to be back to full health with no reports of re-injuring his knee in last week’s contest. Granted, he’ll be going up against a tough Miami defense that have allowed the fourth-fewest fantasy points to tight ends all season, but going forward there’s no reason not to consider Kittle as a lock at TE1 for the foreseeable future as long as he stays healthy.

Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation

Despite going up against a solid Dolphins defense in Week 5, I’d put Kittle in my starting lineup 10 out of 10 times after the clinic he put on last week against the Eagles.
