Atlanta Falcons wide receivers Calvin Ridley and Russell Gage will look to take advantage of an opportunity on Sunday against the Carolina Panthers. Julio Jones is listed as questionable but appears unlikely to play. He left Monday night’s game against the Green Bay Packers, never returned and hasn’t practiced all week with a hamstring injury.
Fantasy Football analysis: Falcons WRs Calvin Ridley, Russell Gage
After going over 100 receiving yards in all three games this season with four touchdowns, Ridley failed to catch a single pass against Green Bay on Monday night on five targets. He was dealing with an injury himself but has been cleared for Week 5. Gage finished the game with two receptions for 22 yards on three targets.
Obviously better days are ahead for Ridley and Gage in a game that Olamide Zaccheaus led the Falcons with 86 receiving yards on eight catches. The Atlanta passing game can satisfy plenty of options as we’ve seen so far this season. The Falcons have the fifth most pass attempts in the NFL through four weeks.
On Sunday, the Falcons will go for their first win of the season at home against the Carolina Panthers, which allowed 133 passing yards to Kyler Murray on Sunday on 24 of 31 passing with three touchdown passes.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Despite an off game on Monday night, Ridley can be used as a No. 1 wide receiver, and Gage is a third receiver at best.
