Top value plays for Vikings vs. Seahawks NFL Showdown

Sunday’s final Week 5 matchup is set to kick off at 8:20 p.m. ET and will be between the Minnesota Vikings and Seattle Seahawks at CenturyLink Field. This game could be difficult to find value in when it comes to DFS, but we’ve identified some plays worth considering for $5,000 or cheaper.

Top value plays

Greg Olsen, TE, Seahawks ($5,000)

Olsen has given solid contributions so far this season and has caught at least four passes in three of his four games with Seattle. He has nearly twice as many targets (18) as Will Dissly and Jacob Hollister combined and shouldn’t need to score a touchdown to return significant value.

Travis Homer, RB, Seahawks ($1,200)

Homer is averaging around four touches per game and could get more opportunities if Carlos Hyde is held out because of his shoulder injury. Chris Carson has been a full participant in practice this week, but is returning after missing Week 4 with a knee injury. Homer doesn’t have to do much to be worth this price, and he scored his first touchdown of the year last Sunday.

Olabisi Johnson, WR, Vikings ($1,000)

Johnson has seen his involvement in Minnesota’s offense take a tumble over the last two weeks, but every team has been able to get going against the worst pass defense in the NFL. Seattle has allowed at least four receivers to eclipse 30 receiving yards in every game this season. The Seahawks have been great against the run, and that could make Minnesota utilize more wide sets that incorporate Johnson.

Either kicker

Both these teams give up a ton of points, so both kickers could be viable options. Dan Bailey ($4,000) is slightly cheaper than Jason Myers ($4,200), but I’d give the edge to Myers. Minnesota gave up four passing touchdowns to Aaron Rodgers in Week 1, and Seattle’s passing attack is just as potent. Myers should have a higher floor, as only the Green Bay Packers have scored more points than the Seahawks this season.
