What to do with DJ Moore, Robby Anderson, Curtis Samuel in Week 5 fantasy football

It’s not a bad week to get a Panthers receiver or two into your lineup.

NFL: Carolina Panthers-Training Camp Jim Dedmon-USA TODAY Sports

Despite this being billed as a down year for the Carolina Panthers, the offense is really starting to click. They’re currently on a two-game win streak, and in their last outing, against the Cardinals, they topped 30 points for the second time this season. Carolina has the chance to go further this week against a terrible Falcons pass defense, making the trio of receivers even more attractive for fantasy teams this week.

Fantasy Football analysis: Panthers WRs DJ Moore, Robby Anderson, Curtis Samuel

Anderson leads the way among this group. His 34 targets and 377 receiving yards lead the team. He’s also had an edge in target share over the last two weeks, outpacing Moore 16 to 10. A free agent addition this year, Anderson has two games with more than 100 yards, and he finished last week’s win with 99. He’s a WR1 against the Falcons this week.

Moore has become the second option for quarterback Teddy Bridgewater. After a 120-yard effort in Week 2, he has 65 and 49 yards in his last two outings, and still hasn’t found the end zone. He has the chance to bounce back this week against Atlanta’s pass defense. I like him as a WR2 in most formats.

Anderson is still a slightly better value in DFS leagues, costing $5,900 versus $6,000 for Moore this week.

Targets are harder to come by for Samuel in an offense where running backs get a heavy dose of looks from the quarterbacks.

Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation

Start Robby Anderson and DJ Moore. Sit Curtis Samuel.
