The Pittsburgh Steelers had the week off last Sunday, thanks to the continued Titans’ COVID struggles. But they’re back in action this week, hosting the NFL team from the other side of the state, the struggling Philadelphia Eagles. Can James Conner pick up where he left off when the Steelers were last in action?
Fantasy Football analysis: Steelers RBs James Conner, Anthony McFarland Jr.
Conner was on a roll before the unplanned bye. He rolled up two games in a row with 100+ yards, finding the end zone in both of those outings (against Denver and Houston.) This week’s opponent, the Eagles, haven’t beeb overly generous to opposing running backs, despite their poor record. They’ve yet to allow a 100-yard rusher, but Philly’s defense has let running backs into the end zone four times for rushing scores.
With Conner rolling, the Steelers haven’t found much for McFarland or Benny Snell to do. Though, it is notable that McFarland out-touched Snell in their last outing, but, for now, that’s just something to keep in mind if Conner gets hurt.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Start James Conner. Sit Anthony McFarland, Jr.
