It’s tempting to look at what the Browns did to the Cowboys on ground last week (307 rushing yards and three touchdowns) and think that the Giants could get similar numbers out of their trio this week. Not so fast.
Fantasy Football analysis: Giants RBs Devonta Freeman, Wayne Gallman, Dion Lewis
Freeman led the Giants’ running backs last week with 11 carries and four receptions, but he only generated a total of 68 yards. Worse, he averaged just three yards per carry. Gallman had a better day, netting 45 rushing yards on six carries, while Lewis had one run for 10 yards. Nobody in this trio looks to be particularly effective, and remember, the Browns did what they did with Kareem Hunt leading the way, a vastly more talented option than anyone here.
Because Freeman seems to be the team’s preferred option, he has some upside this week given the matchup as a FLEX play. But it’s probably best to avoid this group entirely.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Sit Freeman, Lewis, and Gallman.
