This Saturday in the lone women’s fight of UFC Fight Island 5, Tracy Cortez will meet Stephanie Egger in a women’s bantamweight bout live from Yas Island in Abu Dhabi and available on ESPN+

Cortez will enter with a 7-1 MMA record and a 1-0 UFC record. A unanimous decision in her lone fight over Vanessa Melo, she lands 4.83 significant strikes per minute. She also has averaged 3.0 takedowns per minute in her two graded fights after joining the UFC via a victory over Mariya Agapova at Dana White’s Contender Series in 2019.

As for Egger, she’ll enter with a 5-1 MMA record and will be making her UFC debt. She’s taller than Cortez which could be helpful. This will be the Switzerland-born fighter’s second bout in the last 90 days, and the 32-year-old has four stoppages on her resume.

Cortez is the early favorite, and although she control the bulk of the bets, Egger is responsible for the great amount of action.
