The fourth-ranked Florida Gators will head on the road for the second time this season when they travel to play the Texas A&M Aggies on Saturday, Oct. 10.

Florida won a pair of high-scoring games so far, opening the season with a 51-35 road win over Ole Miss, followed by Saturday’s 38-24 loss. The Gators allowed late touchdowns in both games to make the final score appear closer than they really were. Florida’s offense should be among the storylines early in the college football season. Quarterback Kyle Trask looked fantastic so far and continues to find big tight end Kyle Pitts. Through two games, Pitts has 12 catches for 227 yards with six touchdowns.

Texas A&M suffered its first loss of the season to fall to 1-1 after being handled by the Alabama Crimson Tide fairly easily. The Aggies finished with 450 yards of offense but allowed 544 to Alabama. Texas A&M quarterback Kellen Mond completed 25 of 44 passes for 318 yards and three touchdown passes and one interception. The Aggies will need the best version of Mond to pull off an upset of Florida on Saturday.

In the last game between these two teams, Texas A&M beat Florida 19-17 in Gainesville in 2017.

The Best Bet

The Florida offense has been on fire through two games. The Trask-to-Pitts connection is about the most dangerous in college football for opposing defenses at this point. The danger in taking the Gators in this scenario is Kellen Mond, the ultimate wildcard. He could come out and put together an incredible performance or he could look completely lost. Regardless, let’s go with Florida and keep riding this hot offense.

Pick: Florida -6.5
