Jets WR Jeff Smith goes from I.R. to starting Thursday night

The Jets are digging deep in their depth chart with Jeff Smith.

The New York Jets are razor thin at wide receiver, so when second-year receiver Jeff Smith came off I.R. this week, he was quickly moved into a prominent role. Smith is an absolute burner, as he ran a 4.29 40 at the combine. He signed with the Jets as an undrafted free agent last season.

Smith will join Chris Hogan and Jamison Crowder, likely serving as a deep threat to open up the Broncos defense. We’ll see if Sam Darnold gives him a chance at any splash plays tonight!
