Friday update: Adams got in a second straight limited practice. The best case scenario heading into the weekend is Adams is listed as questionable. The problem there is he does not play until Monday, leaving fantasy managers scrambling.
Thursday evening update: Lazard had cure muscle surgery and is out indefinitely, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Thursday afternoon update: The injury report has come in and Davante Adams was able to get a limited practice in, while Allen Lazard missed practice due to a core muscle injury. Unless that injury designation is code for rest, core injuries are tough to get through in a timely manner. Hopefully there will be more detail on the injury as we move toward their Monday night game.
The Green Bay Bay Packers got some good news and some bad news today, as Davante Adams was able to return to practice today while Allen Lazard was missing, per Mike Spofford of the team site. Adams missed Week 3 with a hamstring injury while Lazard stepped up for Adams and caught 6-of-8 targets for 146 yards and a touchdown.
The reason for Lazard’s absence has yet to be disclosed, so we’ll wait to see if there is any cause for concern. The team plays the Falcons on Monday Night Football, so there is still plenty of time for Lazard if he’s nursing a day-to-day injury. But getting Adams back would be a huge boon for the offense, and him getting any work in on the first day of practice is a great sign.
