The New York Jets have looked like one of the worst teams in the NFL so far this season, and Sam Darnold has struggled to take a step forward in year three of his pro career. Can the signal caller have a bounce back game against the Denver Broncos on Thursday despite his thin receiving corps?
Fantasy Football analysis: Jets QB Sam Darnold
Sam Darnold does not look like a good football player. While he did have some bright spots in Week 1, his WR1 Jamison Crowder is working toward returning from a hamstring injury and Breshad Perriman has been ruled out for Thursday. Chris Hogan (ribs/knee) is also listed as questionable, which leaves Chris Herndon as the only healthy starting pass catcher. Darnold has three touchdown passes, but four interceptions to go along with them. Denver has a middle-of-the-road pass defense this year, but Darnold has below average targets to work with.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Sit Darnold. He threw two pick-sixes in Week 2 and is playing terribly. I don’t expect him to turn things around when none of his best weapons are at 100 percent.
