Will Fuller, Johnathan Joseph remain limited in practice, uncertain for Divisional Round

Will Fuller and Johnathan Joseph are key cogs to both sides of the ball. We break down their latest injury statuses for the Divisional Round.

The Houston Texans returned to practice Wednesday afternoon, and they still don’t have answers regarding wide receiver Will Fuller (groin) and cornerback Johnathan Joseph (hamstring). Both were listed as limited in practice, which is a repeat of where both stood last week.

Head coach Bill O’Brien was asked about their injuries and potential playing status, but was not willing to commit to anything yet.

“I respect the questions, but I don’t know yet,” O’Brien said. “I really don’t. Look, we all want to have a 100 percent healthy team, but I wouldn’t be able to comment on the exacts of anything because I think it’s too early in the week.”

The Texans have two more practices on Thursday and Friday. If Fuller and Joseph are limited both of those practices, they’ll likely both be listed as questionable and game-time decisions.

The Chiefs offense is one of the best in the league. If Houston is missing Joseph and Fuller, it’s hard to see them winning this one. It doesn’t remove all hope, but they’re keys to both sides. Fuller in particular changes the Texans offense in a big way. He adds a deep threat that Kenny Stills and DeAndre Carter simply do not. This is a game the Texans can win, but without Fuller or Joseph, it’s hard to see them even covering.
