Opening point spreads for January 9th NBA schedule

The highlight of the slate is Russell Westbrook and returning to Oklahoma City to face the Thunder. The former MVP figures to get a warm return from the fans and on the other side, Chris Paul is in a revenge spot against the Houston Rockets. There is likely some bitterness there since Houston seemingly gave up on him. With OKC, Paul has proven to have plenty left in the tank and has his new team primed for a playoff spot. It isn’t crazy to think these teams will meet in the first round of the playoffs.
